Living Waters Christian Fellowship (LWCF) is basically a name change from Tabernacle Assembly, an assembly founded by Bishop Les J. Sims in 1985. After leading Tabernacle Assembly for 15 years, he sensed the move of God on his life to change the name of the church to Living Waters Christian Fellowship. This name change is a result of a conviction Bishop Sims experienced after ministering to a hospitalized individual.
God spoke to his heart and said, "Your tools for ministry is what flows from within your spirit. Words inspired by the Holy Spirit are Words of Life. For out of your belly shall flow Rivers of Living Water." Inspired by this understanding, Bishop Sims was further convinced that God sent His Word and healed us from all our destruction (Psalms 107:20). The word God sends is to flow through Bishop Sims and through everyone in Living Waters Christian Fellowship.
Bishop Sims believes this is the energy and power that will lift us from any situation of bondage to a level of wholesomeness and fulfillment. The Word of God is to be believed and acted upon and it will produce God intended results.
Les J. Sims is the Pastor of Living Waters Christian Fellowship in Columbus, Ohio and founder of Deliverance Through the Word of God Ministries. His ministry spans over thirty years as Evangelist, Pastor, and teacher to the Body of Christ. His unique style of teaching/preaching and extensive biblical background gives him much recognition as a conference speaker and revivalist. Having served in various capacities to some great men of God, he has a keen insight into the church's purpose, function, and challenges.
His passion is to see the members of the Body of Christ find fulfillment through the grace of God given to effectively occupy their "set" place. The by-product will be a church with dynamic influence and impact on the world. A primary focus of Bishop Sims' ministry is the move of the apostolic anointing within the body of Christ. He is also a strong advocate for prayer and intercession, so much so that he has adopted "Prayer: following hard after God" as a theme for LWCF. He embraces the five-fold ministry with special emphasis on Koinea/Fellowship. He believes the greatest forms of evangelism begin in healthy relationships in the body of Christ. "By this shall all men know that you are my ambassadors that you have love one for the other." He continues to travel ministering in conferences, conventions, and churches, and networking with other ministries locally and abroad to keep abreast of "what God is up to in the church today."
