Oftentimes prayer is one of the first things that suffer in a believer’s life until the pressures of life knock at their door. Prayer is a blessed privilege and must be highly valued. Life apart from prayer is unthinkable. Prayer is crucial to power. No prayer no power. Prayer cannot be discarded as optional. It’s our power line and crucial to effective ministry and living. Because of the spiritual dynamics of prayer, it has many enemies that must be conquered in order to pray without ceasing. For instance, the enemy of distraction targets our prayer life. It says, “I don’t have enough time, I’ll do it later.” FIGHT BACK! TAKE TIME! MAKE TIME TO PRAY! Prayer is as crucial to your walk with God as blood is to the life of the physical body. Prayer is our power base. It launches ministry and direction for life’s endeavors. Prayer obtains wisdom and much more.

We have to make it happen and pray on purpose! The age we are living in is filled with pressure. Pressure comes at us from all directions: relational and family pressures, financial and health pressures, decisions to be made, social issues, and the list goes on. We need to pray!

Remember, if you don’t pray you are telling heaven, “I can handle life by myself.”
